I realize that no two people are the same and I tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or any other issue, I will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths, and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts so you’ll see things in a different, healthier way.

I offer comprehensive services and my practice specializes in treating individuals, couples, and families. 

I primarily specialize in the issues below:

Trauma

Most people will experience trauma in their lifetime whether it’s a car accident, abuse or neglect, the sudden death of a loved one, a violent criminal act, exposure to the violence of war, or a natural disaster.

While many people can recover from trauma over time with the love and support of family and friends, and bounce back with resiliency, others may discover the effects of lasting trauma, which can cause a person to live with deep emotional pain, fear, confusion, or post-traumatic stress long after the event has passed.

In these circumstances, the support, guidance, and assistance of a therapist are fundamental to healing from trauma.

My Other Specialties Include:

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful tool for addressing trauma, PTSD, and deeply rooted emotional pain. It allows the brain to reprocess distressing memories so you can move forward feeling freer and more whole.

PTSD

Post-traumatic stress disorder — also known as PTSD — is a mental health challenge that may occur in individuals who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event such as a natural disaster, a terrorist act, an act of war, a serious accident, rape, or any other violent personal assault.

Anger Management

Anger issues aren’t uncommon and the first step towards change is admitting the problem. Learning to manage anger isn’t as simple as some may think, but together we can come up with a game plan tailored exclusively to you.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT is a short-term, problem-focused form of behavioral treatment that helps people see the difference between beliefs, thoughts, and feelings, and free them from unhelpful patterns of behavior.

Individual Therapy

Personalized, trauma-informed therapy that helps you process difficult experiences, reduce anxiety and depression, and build emotional strength. I use EMDR and other evidence-based approaches to support healing at your pace.

Men’s Issues

From a young age, men are taught rigid masculinity – to be strong and to keep their emotions in check. This often leads to many men feeling isolated, anxious, and depressed. The very emotions they should seek help for, they stuff down and “go it alone.” Bearing their emotional pain seems a better idea than opening themselves up to the stigma of seeking therapy.
